VEZOO

A route is more than a line from A to B

VEZOO is being built as one environment for car trips and truck journeys, combining routing, intermediate points, maps, distance and time estimates, roadside places and trip-planning tools.

The idea is simple: open one route and get everything needed around it — from the road and fuel to accommodation, parking or repair services. VEZOO is also expanding its own routing infrastructure and geographic coverage.

VEZOO — routing and roadside services

Roads, waypoints, fuel stations, hotels, parking and useful stops — all in one place.

Routing at the core

VEZOO displays distances, journey times, road geometry and intermediate stops. Car routes use regional OSRM graphs, including those in Asia; cross-region connections are validated separately.

Dedicated truck routing

Truck routing considers vehicle dimensions, mass, axle load, axle count and known road restrictions. Truck graph coverage may differ from car coverage.

Useful roadside places

Find fuel stations, hotels, cafes, repair shops, tyre services, parking and charging near your route. Availability varies with local data coverage.

API and widget

VEZOO is developing a public API and an embeddable widget for external websites, partners and logistics applications.

Coverage grows with the routing graphs

VEZOO runs passenger routing graphs across Russia and the CIS, much of Europe, North and South America, the Middle East and Asia. Sixteen regional OSRM graphs serve Asia, including India, China, Japan, Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Truck routing has separate coverage and restrictions.

New graphs are activated after technical tests. Transitions between neighbouring graphs are validated separately: not every border crossing or ferry connection is supported. See the coverage page for regional status and limitations.

Why VEZOO builds its own routing graphs

Owning the routing layer gives more control over speed, quality, regional coverage and how different parts of the world connect. This matters especially for long-distance routes, truck navigation and features that depend on accurate road geometry.

External sources can remain as a fallback where useful, while VEZOO continues moving toward more owned data, local graphs, caching and independent routing logic.

Trip ecosystem

What you can find around a route

A route page should answer more than “how many kilometres?”. As data grows, VEZOO connects the road with the services people actually need on the way.

Roadside sources are growing. Fuel availability, prices, opening hours and services may be incomplete or change; confirm details before travelling.

From route to useful stops

How VEZOO helps plan a journey

Routes, road networks and roadside places work together, so you do not have to search separately for distances, overnight stays and fuel stops.

  1. 1

    Choose locations

Choose a start, destination and optional waypoints. The route appears on the map.

  2. 2

    Get a road route

VEZOO calculates distance and time using available road graphs. Regions and road connections are validated separately.

  3. 3

    Plan your stops

Explore fuel stations, cafes, hotels and other services near the selected road. Data coverage varies by region.

VEZOO as a platform

The routing engine is useful beyond the website, so VEZOO is also developing a Public API, documentation and an embeddable widget.

How the service develops

VEZOO develops step by step: reliable routing first, then intermediate points and map quality, roadside places, truck logic, API, route pages and wider geographic coverage.

The goal is not to add isolated features, but to connect them to real trips. New regions must join neighbouring graphs and roadside places must relate to the actual road.

Truck routing must reflect truck-specific constraints rather than simply copy a car route. That is why VEZOO is growing from a distance calculator into a complete routing platform.

Frequently asked questions about VEZOO

Where does VEZOO work?

Passenger routing graphs are deployed across Russia and the CIS, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and 16 Asian regions. Individual connections, especially between graphs, are validated during routing.

Can I route between countries?

Yes, when a verified drivable connection links the relevant graphs. Unverified border crossings and sea passages should not appear as invented straight-line roads.

Are fuel and roadside details always current?

Not always. Roadside details depend on OpenStreetMap and other sources, including 39 OpenStreetMap extracts for Asia. Their initial import is complete, but coverage and freshness vary. Check prices, fuel stock, opening hours and services before stopping.

How is truck routing different?

Truck routing uses vehicle parameters and known road restrictions. Truck graph coverage differs from car coverage: an available car graph does not imply a truck graph is ready.
